8th Grade Promotion Updates

8th Grade Students and Families, 

Promotion is right around the corner and we can’t wait to celebrate your student’s accomplishments! This class is truly special to the teachers and staff at Deal. Despite all the upheaval and change they experienced during their middle school years, our 8th graders persevered and showed themselves to be outstanding students and humans. We are so proud of the young leaders they have become and know they will do amazing things in high school and beyond. 

As we approach the promotion celebrations, below are the details you should know: 

8th Grade Dance 

  • The dance will be June 21st from 5:00 to 7:30 pm

  • Students report to the Deal front doors and the dance will take place outdoors on the back court

  • We will have a DJ, light food and drinks, decorations, a photo booth, and lots of fun!

  • Students should dress up for the event and only enrolled Deal students are permitted to attend

  • Wristbands will be given to students at school on June 21st; Students will not be admitted without their wristband

  • Cost: $40 payable at https://deal-promotion.square.site/

8th Grade Promotion

  • The promotion ceremonies will be June 23rd

    • Teams Best, Calgary, & Wagga Wagga @ 10:00 AM

    • Teams Luxor and Quito @ 2:00 PM

  • Each promoting 8th grader will receive tickets for two guests and the event will be streamed live at this link: https://youtube.com/wilsonlive

  • The promotion celebration will take place outdoors on the Deal field and students/families should enter from the Howard Rd side of the building (the gym side)

  • Students should dress up for the event and arrive at least 30 minutes before their ceremony’s start time

  • Parking will be extremely limited at both ceremonies and all families are asked to take public transportation and avoid driving to campus

  • Student and guest tickets will be given to students at school on Monday, June 21st

  • Cost: $50 payable at https://deal-promotion.square.site/
