Deal at NHD Results

This weekend 18 Deal students competed at the DC National History Day competition held at Howard University! These students have worked tirelessly all year to research and create projects that fit the theme: Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History. 6 of the 9 Deal projects placed and are eligible to compete at the NHD National Competition held in June. 

  • 1st Place - Isabella Silverman, Phoebe Ricksecker, and Arusha Ryan-Nyak Group Website

  • 1st Place - Silvia Buch - Individual Performance 

  • 2nd Place - Florence de Beaufort - Individual Exhibit

  • 2nd Place - Mila Ownbey, Sofia Tipton, Anna Wind, Lyna Syed, and Gwyneth Mikesell - Group Exhibit

  • 3rd Place - Caroline Hyde-Parish - Individual Documentary

  • 3rd Place - Nara Mueller - Paper
