Deal Debate Update

This weekend, the Lincoln-Douglas debaters from the debate team attended a tournament at Dominion High School in Sterling, VA.  With 20 high schools and two middle schools in attendance Deal debaters outclassed the competition. 

Sadie Meixner finished the tournament with a 4-0 record, received fourth place, and qualified for the metro-final championships.

Agnes Gooding and Margaret Melia also qualified for the metro-final tournament and received top novice debater awards in Student Congress.

Also finishing the tournament with a 3-1 record were Isabel Pershing, Charlotte Ray, and Hannah Flavell.

Congratulations on a great showing!  Shout to Mr. Stroud for his leadership.
