Candidate Bios (listed alphabetically)

Erica Mongelli

I am a proud DCPS parent of three kids; I have a rising 7th grade daughter (Elyse) at Deal, a 9th grade daughter (Ruth) at Jackson Reed, and a 4th grade son (Max) at Lafayette. We will be a Deal family for the next five years!! Previously, I served for three years as the Vice-President and then President of the Parent, School, Community Organization at West Education Campus, now John Lewis Elementary, and also served on their LSAT for two years. I valued the opportunity to learn from a diverse group of school stakeholders while serving in both roles, and I firmly believe that a strong partnership between families, schools and communities is essential to the success of our students. Professionally, I am the Director of Program Operations at Food for the Hungry, a humanitarian relief and development organization. I look forward to supporting the Deal community in the years to come!

Aaron Wesolowski

Aaron Wesolowski is the father of a rising Deal 8th grader and a rising Janney 5th grader. He also volunteers as a board member for Janney Plus, which provides after care, enrichment, and camp programming for the Janney ES community, and in the past with NW youth sports teams. Professionally, he leads policy research at the American Hospital Association.  Aaron and family love being members of the Janney, Deal, and AU Park communities. He feels strongly about being engaged as a parent-volunteer and is excited to participate in the Deal LSAT.
