Deal Speech and Debate

This weekend, the Lincoln-Douglas debaters traveled to Lightridge High School in Aldie, VA for their fourth Metro-final qualifying tournament to great results.  

In the Middle School division, the following debaters were undefeated or 2-1 in the preliminary rounds and earned automatic qualification to Metro-finals:

  • 1st place - Leo Politi

  • 2nd place - Nora Cinqua

  • 3rd place - Leila Lipton

  • 4th place - Ripton Samaras

  • 6th place - Sam Hyde-Parish

Finishing 2-1 and earning a qualifying leg for Metro-finals were:

  • Isabel Pershing

  • Hannah Flavelle

In the High School Junior Varsity division, the following debaters earned a qualifying leg for Metro-finals:

  • Charlotte Ray (undefeated)

  • Yonatan Richmon-Dreyfus (undefeated)

  • Jacob Sloane (2-1)
