Deal Spelling Bee

December is the time when Deal begins to turn its focus to the annual spelling bee. We begin the spelling bee season with every student having the opportunity to participate in an ‘advisory bee.’ Between now and December 22 students will compete with the members of their advisory group to select two students to advance to the school-wide bee on January 17, 2023. Students can prepare for the advisory bee by studying the appropriate grade-level list of words that are provided by the Scripps National Spelling Bee organization. For the school-wide bee students will be using the Competition Spelling Lists and/or the Words of Champions lists.
