McKinley Technology High School is excited to host the Girls Who Brunch Tour on Saturday, September 26, 2026, and we want your students to be part of this incredible experience.

This is more than an event. It is a full-day experience designed to expose girls ages 9–20 to leadership, mentorship, STEM, entrepreneurship, wellness, confidence-building, and meaningful connections with women and young leaders who are making an impact.
Featured speakers and special guests include:
Mayor Muriel Bowser, Councilmember Christina Henderson, Lexi P of Curlanista, filmmaker Lanae Gray, STEM advocate Temple Lester, behavioral health specialist Knicole Mosby Taylor, and other community leaders, mentors, creatives, entrepreneurs, and advocates.
For middle school students considering McKinley Tech, this is also a unique opportunity to experience our school community before the admissions season gets underway. Students will have the opportunity to meet Alyssa Rashaw, Director of Admissions, McKinley Tech student ambassadors, staff, and current students.
Prospective students will also participate in a special admissions workshop with the Director of Admissions that will give them an inside look at:
What McKinley Tech looks for in the admissions essay
How students can strengthen their written responses
What to expect during the McKinley Tech interview
How students can prepare to confidently present themselves
What students and families should know about the admissions process
Academic programs, student life, extracurricular activities, and opportunities available at Tech
And there is so much more happening throughout the day! Students can look forward to:
Brunch with their peers
An ice cream social
Age-specific workshops
STEM and entrepreneurship activities
Youth mental health conversations
Fitness and self-defense programming
Teen dating violence prevention
Parent programming
Leadership and confidence-building sessions
Opportunities to connect with mentors and community organizations
Live performances will include the McKinley Tech Band, Arin the Violinist, Limitless Dancing Warriorettes, Divine Divas Models, House of Distinction, and more.
