Join Deal for National Bullying Awareness Week!
In support of National Bullying Awareness Month, our Counseling Department is hosting special activities next week to promote kindness, empathy, and positive school culture!
Here is what’s happening and how your student can get involved:
Tuesday, Oct. 20: Anti-bullying and Mindfulness Lunch activities
During grade-level lunches, the counseling department will facilitate anti-bullying and mindfulness activities for all students.
To bring our community together, we are creating a Deal Unity Playlist to play during lunch! We kindly request that students and staff submit their favorite song recommendations to Ms. Travers at johnet.travers@k12.dc.gov.
Wednesday, Oct. 21: Wear ORANGE for Unity Day
We encourage all students and staff to wear orange on Wednesday, October 21 in observance of Unity Day. Wearing orange shows our unified commitment to kindness, acceptance, and inclusion across our school community.
