National Junior Honor Society
All eligible 7th and 8th graders are encouraged to join the NJHS in their 7th and 8th grade year, please review the following requirements:
Submit 15 hours of Community Service by April 20
Community Service Hours must be uploaded on Canvas
Summer Community Service Hours are due by January 20 to receive credit for the current year
8th graders are not permitted to use hours from their Community Project.
Be on the Honor Roll/Principal's Honor Roll for terms 1-3.
Participate in at least one Deal Extracurricular Activity, Club, or Sport.
Attend one in school Call to Order Meeting (late May).
Maintain appropriate behavior (in school or out of school suspensions)
First Time Inductees
The application for new inductees is available HERE. The application must be completed by October 5. If the application is accepted, an invitation to join the New Inductee Canvas Page will be sent to the student with next steps.
8th Grade 2nd Year Members
The Canvas Page for 8th grade 2nd year members will be available on October 6. This page is for students who were accepted into NJHS last year and are interested in maintaining their NJHS status, as a 2-year honoree.
