SY 24-25 IB-MYP Interdisciplinary Units

As in IBMYP school, each student engages in one interdisciplinary unit per year.  This year, our teachers have worked hard to create awesome interdisciplinary units for our students!  These units will all take place at the end of May and the first few weeks of June.  We are excited to end our 2024-2025 school year with opportunities for students to think creatively and critically while connecting what they have learned in multiple content areas.  In 6th Grade, through Individuals & Societies (Geography) and Science, student will research and create a resolution to demonstrate how interactions between human and environmental systems impact sustainability and necessitate positive change.  In 7th grade, through Individuals & Societies and ELA, students will use historical facts to map out a "road trip" as a historical figure while using narrative writing techniques to keep a journal of their journey.  In 8th grade, through Individuals & Societies and ELA, students will investigate the impact of racial inequality on individuals and society and create a multi genre response to reflect on the role of activism in challenging injustices.
