Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday observed on the third Monday of January.  Dr. King's birthday is January 15, 1929.  Dr. King was a spokesperson for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement.  The movement led to several groundbreaking legislative reforms in the United States.
