We want to congratulate our March Students of the Month who were recognized this past week for being BALANCED. We look forward to celebrating our OPEN MINDED Students of the Month in April. An open minded student critically appreciates their own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. They seek and evaluate a range of points of view, and are willing to grow from the experience.
Student Volunteer Opportunity
Do you want a way to become more involved in your community? Or do you need community service hours? If these questions apply to you, you might want to consider "adopting" an elder at the Forest Hills Nursing Home (located about 4 blocks from Deal)! Essentially, you would be paired with a resident at Forest Hills and required to meet with them at least once a month. You would be able to connect with them by talking about their day, playing a game, going on a walk, etc. Volunteering at Forest Hills is a great way to give back to your community by making a positive impact on a resident!
