Congratulations MUN

Congratulations to the six Deal students (Bridget Malcarney, Artemis Indorina, Abigail Brumbaugh, Sydney Gonzalez-Ferria, Sadie Meixner, and Hannah Lopez) who spent their Saturday at Georgetown University exploring the Sustainable Development Goals and activism through (student) leadership with middle and high schools from from across the DMV. Students heard from Georgetown professors and experts in their assigned SDG, learned about student led activism from campus leaders in both small groups and whole group activities, and then spent time designing their own advocacy group. Our students were all in, for the full day! This year’s foci were :

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
SDG 10: Reduced Inequality
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 15: Life on Land

I am so proud of their engagement, question asking, participation, and collaboration. It was a joy to watch everyone shine. Way to go Deal MUN!!! We will definitely be back next year!
